Long Gone Days is a narrative JRPG that approaches war from a nuanced and deeply human perspective. Far from glorifying combat, the game focuses primarily on its consequences for civilians and the relationships that form in times of conflict.

You play as Rourke, a young man trained from birth to be a sniper within the Core, an underground paramilitary state. During his first mission on the surface, he rigorously follows orders, before realizing that the Core is far from the noble organization he imagined.

Confronted with the reality of the outside world, Rourke will have to question his beliefs, make difficult choices, and learn to understand others, beyond borders, languages, and ideologies.
