Project Songbird is a first-person narrative and cinematic psychological horror game, developed by Conner Rush and his studio Fyre Games, also known for the critically acclaimed games Summerland and We Never Left (from Dread X Collection 5).

Play as Dakota, a professional musician who, suffering from writer's block, decides to isolate himself in a remote cabin in the heart of the Appalachian forest to compose and record his next album. Immerse yourself in this captivating story, explore the surrounding nature and its haunted dreamlike landscapes, and fight to survive in this intense horror experience.

The game skillfully combines the atmosphere and narrative of an exploration game with the tension and complexity of traditional survival horror. During the day, you will spend most of your time exploring the forest, admiring the landscapes, and advancing Dakota's story in search of identity. Contrast this with the dreamlike, distorted, and surreal landscapes that await you at night, where you will have to fight for your survival to make it to the other side.

The puzzles you encounter are much more than a simple key hunt: the game rewards players who pay attention to details, making each puzzle a true challenge of creativity and ingenuity.

The combat system offers a variety of approaches inspired by the great classics of the genre. Melee and firearm combat is slow, heavy, and ammunition is extremely rare. However, brute force is not your only option: you have a multitude of tools to discreetly sneak past and bypass the creatures that want to harm you.
